Yankee Welt Knife WK-A

Very useful when preparing the insole and finishing the sole edges – essential tool.

This is commonest type of knife used for trimming the welt. The curved shank has a cutting edge ground across the end, leaving a "finger guide" at the side. When pushed along the welt, the "finger" is kept in contact with the upper and so acts as both guide and fence.
