US Import Duties
Information for customers from the United States about HS codes, import duty rates and how Starko Tools prepares customs documents after the order is placed.
For US customers only
From July 21, 2026, the general 10% import duty is replaced by import duties based on the specific HS code of each product.
During checkout, you may see informational duty rates for individual products. After your order is placed, the customs invoice will be reviewed and optimized manually where possible.
Main Starko Tools HS codes for US import
The main HS codes used for Starko Tools products are listed below.

How your customs invoice is optimized
To reduce import costs and simplify customs clearance, Starko Tools will manually review your order after checkout and prepare the customs invoice in the most suitable way.
Where possible, several products may be combined into one customs line or declared as a tool set.
| Order contents | Possible customs handling |
|---|---|
| Two or more hand tools | They may be declared as a hand tool set under HS code 8206.00.00.00 with a 7.5% duty rate. |
| Only one hand tool | It is not a set and will normally be declared as an individual hand tool under HS code 8205.59.80.00 with a 30% duty rate. |
| Knives together with hand tools | Knives may be included in HS code 8206.00.00.00 if hand tools clearly prevail in the set by quantity. |
| Several knives without hand tools | They may be declared under HS code 8211.10.00.00 with a 25% duty rate. |
| Only one knife | It will normally be declared as an individual fixed blade knife under HS code 8211.92.00.00 with a 31% duty rate. |
What happens after you place an order
